Youssef Chorfi

I am Youssef, a Master’s student in Data Science at ETH Zürich.
On the side, I’m building agaria.ai, a tool that automates sales prospecting and outreach.
I like working on systems at the intersection of research and real-world products. I’m particularly interested in distributed systems, agentic AI, and applied AI systems for research.
I did my Bachelor’s in Computer Science at EPFL.
Work
In 2025, I interned as an ML Engineer at NutrAI, where I estimated how much of a meal someone actually ate by matching photos taken before and after eating. I also built two internal tools for browsing, filtering and analysing the image dataset, and running experiments.
From 2025 to 2026, I was an Event Lead at the ETH Entrepreneur Club, where I organized two student events end to end with a small team, covering sponsors, logistics, and operations. These included BOOST, a pitching competition for early-stage startups with a CHF 40,000 prize pool, and Startup Simulator, a one-day event where teams go through the process of building a company.
From 2023 to 2024, I was a Teaching Assistant at EPFL, where I ran exercise sessions, helped students with assignments, and graded for five courses in computer science and mathematics, including Software Construction, Linear Algebra, and Calculus.
